Wise (formerly TransferWise) are still spammers
I previously quit Transferwise because they were terrible terrible spammers masquerading as a payments / currency transfer service.
Recently, I reluctantly signed up for a wise.com (the new name for Transferwise) account, remembering how persistent and irritating their spam had been.
I got my wise.com debit card and it basically works. But now I find they are stabbing me in the back. The contact details I gave for management of my account, they are using to spam me.
Assuming wise.com actually want to be a payments company, and not a spam company (you can't be both), why do they do this? Presumably it takes a lot of effort to make something that looks like a payments service. Wouldn't it make sense to actually just be a payments company, rather than doing all the work that would be involved in being a payments company, and then, for some self-defeating, pathologically idiotic reason, just being a piece of shit common spammer instead?
Since a payments card is apparently a required shitfrastructure component, does anyone know of a provider offering a debit card against multi-currency balances including CHF, with reasonable exchange rates, who is NOT A SPAMMER?
This is what spammers do. As a spammer, you go from acceptable to "I'm only using until I find something else, not with a spammer". Why do this?
On this occasion, the marketing department at wise.com, who should be taken out the back and shot, have gone with "Waiting for Black Friday deals to book your next trip? Don’t."
